ORANIA IS THE HERITAGE AND LEGACY OF THE GREAT TREK
The Great Trek (Afrikaans: Die Groot Trek; Dutch: De Grote Trek) was an eastward migration of Dutch-speaking settlers who travelled by wagon trains from the Cape Colony into the interior of modern South Africa from 1836 onwards, seeking to live beyond the Cape’s British colonial administration. The Great Trek resulted from the culmination of tensions between rural descendants of the Cape's original European settlers, known collectively as Boers, and the British Empire. It was also reflective of an increasingly common trend among individual Boer communities to pursue an isolationist and semi-nomadic lifestyle away from the developing administrative complexities in Cape Town. Boers who took part in the Great Trek identified themselves as voortrekkers, meaning "pioneers", "pathfinders" (literally "fore-trekkers") in Dutch and Afrikaans.
Afrikaaners by and large do not countenance laziness. The Afrikaaners do not listen to excuses as to why one is poor. The Afrikaaner do not accept the thesis that he or she is a victim of circumstances. He sees himself as in charge of his life. He has internal locus of control and believes that no matter what the external environment is like that it is up to him to do what he could to extract a decent living for himself and his family.
WHAT MAKES AFRIKAANERS TO BE ON TOP
The Afrikaaner start his own business and employ himself and employ his own people. He does not stay around waiting for other persons to employ him. And when they do not employ him, complain, bitching about racism against him. The Afrikaaner does not want you to pity him, see him as a victim and give him social grants out of pity.
South Africa: The Land of Our Fathers!
South Africa has 11 official languages, each with its own unique history and linguistic lineage.
Nine of these languages belong to the Niger-Congo family, specifically the Bantu branch. These include isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho, Setswana, Tshivenda, Xitsonga, siSwati, and Northern Sotho.
Two languages, Afrikaans and English, do not belong to the Niger-Congo family. Afrikaans originated from Dutch, while English has Indo-European roots.
